WAVE: SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTER

WAVE utilizes a mixed-use building in Santa Monica, California to address the issue of depression and heightened suicide rates prevalent in the aging population.

WAVE features two floors: the base floor designed to encourage multi-generational communication through various activities and spaces that stimulate the senses and place seniors in leadership roles and the upper levels catering to multi-generational housing with a focus on the aging population. As well as fully- functional apartment units, community-based spaces imitate the living room setting to create an air of familiarity and comfort amongst  the residents.
